Join a Kemer Rafting Koprulu Canyon tour: paddle a 14 km whitewater route through a UNESCO-listed gorge, swim in turquoise pools, enjoy a riverside lunch and return to your Kemer hotel by early evening.
Kemer’s location makes it one of the best starting points for a Köprülü Canyon rafting day. The canyon is approximately 45 minutes away — close enough to spend more time on the water and less time in the bus. Join a full-day rafting tour from Kemer, Beldibi or Tekirova and tackle a 14 km whitewater route through the dramatic gorges of the Taurus Mountains. No experience is needed, professional guides are with you throughout, and the whole experience — from rapids to river swimming to a generous lunch — is designed to be the highlight of your holiday.
• Short 45-minute transfer from Kemer to Köprülü Canyon
• 14 km rafting route with 10 rapids in a stunning canyon gorge
• Swim in calm turquoise pools between the rapids
• Views of ancient Roman bridges built over the canyon
• Optional zipline and cliff diving stop
• Riverside lunch at a local restaurant
• Professional guides and full safety gear
• Hotel pickup and drop-off in Kemer included
Your morning starts with a hotel pickup in Kemer, Beldibi or Tekirova. The drive to Köprülü Canyon takes approximately 45 minutes — a quick and scenic journey through coastal pine forests and up into the Taurus Mountains. This proximity is one of the advantages of starting from Kemer: more of the day is spent at the canyon, less on the road.
At the base camp, your guides greet the group and run a full safety briefing. Everyone is fitted with a helmet, life jacket and paddle. The instructors explain the paddling techniques and the commands used to navigate the rapids. Groups of all ages and abilities do this route — no experience is required.
The 14 km rafting route passes through 10 rapids. Some are gentle sections with time to admire the 200-metre-high canyon walls; others are fast, churning drops where the whole raft lifts and crashes with a cheer. In between the excitement, the river opens into deep turquoise pools — jump in for a swim in perfectly clear mountain water. The canyon in this stretch is also home to ancient Roman bridges, some still intact, with their stone arches framing the river perfectly.
Halfway along the route, a stop at the adventure area offers zipline, cliff diving and other extras (available at additional cost). Drinks and pancakes are available here. When the adrenaline has settled, continue by raft to the riverside restaurant for a full Turkish lunch.
After lunch, the final section of the river brings you to the finish point. Optional rafting videos and photos can be purchased at the end. The return transfer to Kemer takes about 45 minutes, getting you back to your hotel with the afternoon still ahead.
